Plastic Rain
As i seat in the now too familiar hard plastic seats of the train,
I lifted my weary neck to peer out of the window
only to find the view i am so familiar with,
obscured by the hard pounding of heavy raindrops.
i wonder if the buildings feel any pain as i watch drops after drops
of rain hit the buildings like a hail of never ending gunfire.
Tak-tak tak-tak tak-tak tak-tak..
as i hear the raindrops hit the window one by one,
i lose count of all the little raindrops as they
slowly dripped away from the gaze of my not so watchful eyes
onto the now soaking wet train tracks.
i could say my goodbyes, but then i conclude
i wont be able to finish my goodbyes
as the raindrops are but too many..
